West Tisbury, Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts
West Tisbury is the second largest town on Martha’s Vineyard. There is many acres of rich farmland and acres of State Forest. Because of all the farms, from mid-June to mid-October you can go to the old Agricultural Hall to browse and purchase the produce from this great farmers’ market twice a week.
The two beaches at West Tisbury are Lambert’s Cove Beach and Long Point Beach.
Restaurants include State Road Restaurant (508-693-8582) 688 State Road. They have American, Vegetarian and Gluten-free options and of course local cuisine. If you don’t have much time, try 7a Foods (508-693-4636) 1045 State Road. Breakfast and Lunch only. And there is Plane View (508-693-1886) 71 Airport Road. Breakfast and Lunch with a take-out option. You will be able to see the comings and goings of the planes at the airport.
If you love to walk through gardens, check out the Poly Hill Arboretum. Call to see when they re-open (508-693-9426). There is a $5 entrance fee.
